POSTGRADUATE SPECIALIST PROGRAMMES

The University of Zagreb School of Medicine offers numerous postgraduate specialist programmes which are a constitutive part of the residency training in a particular field of specialty educational programmes. The course of studies  lasts for two semesters (one year) and is completed with the presentation of a professional thesis, in addition to a final examination. All candidates who have completed the appropriate undergraduate university or professional program in the duration of at least five years are eligible for enrollment into postgraduate specialist programmes. The postgraduate specialist programmes offered cover 49 fields of medical interest. Depending on the additional interest of overseas students, some programs are offered in English.
