CASE No.  8
11-year old boy with a firm subcutaneous nodule on the 2nd finger of the right hand. The clinical diagnosis was “foreign body granuloma”. The surgical exploration revealed a firm nodule attached to the tendon. After pathological diagnosis a wide excision of the surrounding tissue has been carried out. One year after excision the boy is well and without evidence of disease.
The surgical specimen consisted of a glistening gray-white tumor with a Ø of about 1 cm.
